of DGNB certification
1.) Definition of objectives & project analysis
Definition of sustainability goals (e.g. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum), analysis of the building type, the ESG requirements and the economic framework conditions. Initial assessment of feasibility and possible funding.
2.) Selection of the appropriate DGNB usage profile
Determination of the appropriate system application (industrial building, logistics center, production hall, commercial district, etc.) as well as clarification of the relevant criteria and evidence.
3.) Sustainability-oriented planning
Integration of all relevant DGNB criteria into architecture, technology, building material selection, energy supply, process organization and construction processes. Consideration of life cycle assessment (LCA), life cycle costs (LCC) and ESG standards.
4.) Verification & documentation
Creation, collection and preparation of all required documents. Use of DGNB Navigator, DGNB System Software and digital tools for structured verification.
5.) Process control & quality control
Ongoing coordination between all project participants, monitoring of target achievement, identification of risks and cost deviations, ensuring DGNB-compliant implementation.
6.) Audit preparation & coordination with the DGNB
Coordination of on-site inspections, audit discussions and interim acceptances. Coordination with DGNB testing centers and auditors, clarification of open points and final optimization of the evidence.
7.) Final audit & certification
Submission of all final documents, support during the final audit and handover of the DGNB certificate (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum). Optional: Support during ongoing operation as well as for recertifications or re-audits.
